An Access Appointment is a 20-25 minute phone call with a mental health provider who will listen, ask questions about your symptoms and experiences, and connect you with the services that best fits your needs. This may include referrals to resources at UHS, on campus, or in the community.

Preparing for your appointment
Complete the questionnaire on MyUHS prior to your appointment.
- If you schedule online, you will be directed to the questionnaire following booking.
- If you schedule by calling, you can find the questionnaire in the appointments tab of MyUHS
The questionnaire covers basic demographics, concerns or symptoms you are experiencing, and services you would like to discuss.
On the day of your appointment, take the call in a private, comfortable space.
We are committed to matching you with a provider that will best fit your needs. You will have the opportunity to request a provider with specific identities, language proficiency, or areas of expertise.
