Dan Shapiro

Dan Shapiro joined UHS in 2023 as a physician assistant working in Primary Care and Sexual Health. Shapiro chose to work in college health because college is a pivotal time in which students are balancing intellectual demands and their growing senses of autonomy, and because it’s also a time when acute and chronic health conditions can start to rear their heads. Shapiro appreciates the opportunity to reduce these risks through early intervention.

In his free time, Shapiro loves spending time outdoors, especially cycling, hiking, or going for a stroll with his wife, son, and dogs. Shapiro also plays a variety of musical instruments, participates in a summer baseball league, and personal trains a few clients at the YMCA.
