Nola Pastor
Credentials: BA
Position title: Violence Prevention Program Manager
Pronouns: she/her
Address:
BA, Macalester College
Nola joined UHS’s Violence Prevention team in 2018 as a Violence Prevention Program Manager. In her role, Nola supports violence prevention education for undergraduate students through online programs and by-request workshops. She also serves as an advisor for PAVE and and provides violence prevention consultation for Fraternity and Sorority Life.
Nola’s approach to her work is informed by her experiences of neurodivergence, mental illness, and queerness. “The ecosystem of a college campus gives us an opportunity to think creatively and strategically about capacity building and culture change. I appreciate the legacies of organizing at UW-Madison and the many people working towards harm reduction and transformation in their own spheres here,” she says.
Outside of UHS, Nola finds joy and balance as a singer-songwriter and through astrology and earth-based spirituality, chosen family, and lake and river swims.
