Ash Engel

Ash joined UHS as a Collegiate Recovery Specialist for Badger Recovery in 2024. She is passionate about advancing health equity and ensuring all students have the support they need to achieve their goals and experience wellbeing. In her role, Ash works with students in or considering recovery from substance misuse and process addictions. She also supports efforts to build a campus that provides belonging for recovering college students. Ash supports diverse definitions of recovery and empowers students to bring their whole selves.

Outside of work, Ash loves to read, meditate, bake allergy-friendly treats, and spend time with their partner and friends. They also enjoy being outdoors, whether that’s tandem biking, pedal kayaking, and ice skating, or having a cookout and bonfire.
