Strategy: Promote help-seeking behaviors
Course syllabi convey objectives and expectations to support learning. Every UW–Madison syllabus fulfills a standard set of requirements yet faculty and instructors can encourage student health and well-being in courses and beyond by promoting and de-stigmatizing help-seeking behaviors.
Faculty can foster academic success by empowering students with knowledge of campus resources and demonstrating support for students who struggle with mental illness, who are victims of sexual violence, and students with disabilities.
