Sara joined UHS Mental Health Services in 2024 as a Mental Health Counseling Trainee. She focuses on working with law students.
In 2023, Sara scaled back her full-time law practice to pursue a Master’s degree in Social Work with a focus in mental health. As a practicum counselor at the Law School, Sara sees students with emotional, psychological, interpersonal, academic, and other mental health concerns under the supervision of a licensed clinician. Strengths-based and solution-focused, Sara supports law students in building a satisfying career consistent with each student’s unique goals and values. Her clinical interests include perfectionism, resilience, women’s issues, identity development, social justice, mindfulness, and narrative psychology, informed by her lived experience as an attorney and parent.
In addition to private practice, Sara previously served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Litigation Unit at the Wisconsin Department of Justice. In her free time, Sara enjoys hiking, meditation, traveling, and spending time with family.
