COVID-19 Service Update

Medical clearance prior to international travel
For essential travel, University Health Services can provide students with COVID-19 testing and/or a medical clearance if this is required by the airline or country immigration/customs at your final destination.

Call UHS at 608-265-5600 or log in to MyUHS to schedule an evaluation with a provider.

The Travel Clinic provides health evaluations and advice to students planning to travel abroad or returning from international travel. Appointments should be scheduled at least one to two months prior to your departure date. Some vaccinations need to be administered more than one month before travel. It’s important to evaluate your travel risk if you:

  • Study abroad
  • Participating in an overseas mission or volunteer program
  • Completing certificates for global health, environmental health, or engineering
  • Planning international travel
  • Visiting friends or relatives in another country

TRAVEL TO-DO LIST

  1. Complete the Travel Tutorial (approximately 20-30 minutes)
  2. Review your current vaccinations. If your UHS record is not up to date, check with your childhood and/or current healthcare provider to obtain records. Update your UHS record in MyUHS.
  3. Check with your insurance  provider to determine if travel vaccinations are covered and the most appropriate place to obtain these.
